Naked 2 VS MUA Undress Me Too - A Palette Prize Fight!!

Ding ding! Round one.
1,2,3,4, i declare a palette war! Well, not technically a war, seen as the MUA one is a dupe/rip off of the Urban Decay Naked 2, but still, i thought i'd compare them!
This is a pretty common post that i've seen popping up everywhere on blogs so if you're sick of reading them, sorry! But i HAD to do a comparison post, to fuel my current eyeshadow obsession!

As you can see, the packaging is just a bit different haha!
I really like the white packaging of the MUA palette, though, it's nice and fresh looking, and really stands out from the rest of the black MUA palettes, and as for the Naked palette, the packaging is really sturdy and practical and i love it! Also it has a mirror, which the MUA palette doesn't unfortunately.
But for travelling the MUA is more practical, as the Naked 2 palette is a bit long and bulky.
In the Naked 2 palette you get a limited edition double-ended eyeshadow brush and a Urban Decay lipgloss, but in the MUA you just get one of those crappy foam eyeshadow applicators (PLEASE stop putting them in there, no-one uses them!!).

MUA swatches on the left, Naked 2 swatches on the right.

Naked/Foxy

Devotion/Half Baked

Shy/Bootycall

Fiery/Chopper

Lavish/Tease

Dreamy/Snakebite

Tranquil/Suspect

Exposed/Pistol

Reveal/Verve

Wink/YDK

Obsessed/Busted

Corrupt/Blackout
The colours are so close on a lot of the shades, Devotion and Half Baked are practically identical, as are Exposed and Pistol, but as you can see the quality of the eyeshadows is very apparent when it comes to the matte shades, the MUA mattes are chalky and uncomfortable to swatch, and pretty patchy, whereas the Urban Decay swatches are smooth and super pigmented, no contest there.
The colours last a long time on the lids, the colour is more intense from the Naked 2 palette though, you need to pack on more of the MUA shadows to get the same amount of intensity.

As far as dupes go, this is a brilliant one, all apart from the matte shades in the MUA, that's what lets it down.
But i'd still say that the MUA is worth getting if you can't afford the Naked 2 palette, the shimmer colours are well worth the £4 you pay for it!
Naked 2 is available from Debenhams, currently on sale with 10% off!
MUA Undress Me Too is currently available at Superdrug stores nationwide, and online at the MUA website.

Do you think you'd go for this dupe instead of the real deal?
Love you all!

The MUA palette is a pretty good dupe, and they will stay on for a prolonged while, if you're wearing a decent primer :) brilliant post! It's made me want to buy both of them! Xx

It's a brilliant dupe, i would say not as good as the Undressed palette is, but i think that's just cos the Naked 2 has more matte shades in it which is more difficult for MUA to duplicate

I absolutely love my Naked 2 Palette, this seems like a good dupe and for £4 you can't go wrong! x

Yeah, i think it'd be good as a backup, for when you don't wanna travel with your Naked 2 in case it gets broken, or if you just don't want to use your Naked 2 too much because it's pretty expensive!

Yeah if you have the Naked 2 it's a bit pointless buying it, unless you want it as a back up or a cheaper alternative so you don't use up your Naked 2 too quickly :)

You'll love it :) And it'll definitely give you a taste of whether you need the Naked 2 or not, if you really enjoy this palette then you'll know the Naked 2 is worth the money :)

Wow, amazing comparison! I've always thought those Naked palettes to be a bit overrated when there are so many cheaper alternatives out there x

Yeah, i don't think i'd ever buy one for myself, £30+ for a eyeshadow palette is a bit much for me, but i got mine as a gift so it didn't cost me a bean ;) haha
      Thank you!

I'm so glad you've done this comparison, it's really helpful! I agree that the MUA matte shades are awkward to swatch, but the rest of the colours are gorgeous.

Yeah they were so dry and scratchy, but other than that the shimmer shades are beautiful!
